Three court cases have concluded during February 2024, which have resulted in businesses being heavily fined for their H&S failings.
In each case, there has been a clear failing to review and identify risks which put workers at risk.
All businesses have a duty of care to their employees, contractors and members of the public to ensure that risks within the workplace are correctly assessed, identified and mitigation strategies put in place.
If risk assessments, carried out by competent individuals, are not in place there is a risk of injury occurring.
